But presently, for the primary time in his career, Crosby is less than a year absent from being a free specialist, and he still hasn’t marked a contract.
Is this the conclusion of the world? Of course not. After all, he still has 11 and a half months cleared out some time recently getting to be a free operator, which still takes off the Penguins bounty of time to offer him what he needs.
It feels like it’s coming, but nothing is official yet. And inevitably, this opens the door to speculation.
